"Got campaign Going So Strong
Getting Brain While Im Talking On Da Phone
Spend Money When Ya Money's Long
Real Street N*ggas Aint No Clone
We At Da Top Where We Belong
Drank Lean, Rose', Patron
Smoking On 1000 Dollas Worth Of Strong
When Da Club Bout To Hear Dis Sooonngg"
Where to start, where to start? This is really a song I can identify with! I too can drink champagne (Asti Spumante is 15 bucks at Kroger, and delicious to boot), and it's not that difficult to make the second line happen either. For a boast song, this is pretty pedestrian and down to earth to start with.
Ah, now we're getting in to it. You're a real guy from the street, and you're at the top. At the top of what exactly? The top of the game? You don't even have a wikipedia entry dude! Go ahead and drink the brand name liquor and smoke your weed, it's the only thing that can keep your delusions of grandeur going.
Gotta Car Lot In My Garage,
Gotta Condo Down Near The Stars
I find it hard to believe a no name rapper with his first "hit" song out has more than one vehicle. And a condo near the stars? Near can have many meanings in Cali real estate.
Im Geeked Up Off Dem Bars,
Gotta Car I Aint Even Gotta Park
No Key Push Button To Start,
This is the second mention I've found lately of a push button starter. My father had a 1950's era pickup truck that had a push button starter. A self parking system isn't something all that advanced. It's an option of current Ford vehicle. Kind of lame boasts.
She Aint A Dime I Won't Get Hard
Got Hoe's Dat Need A Green Card,
Say Ima Dogg But I Don't Even Bark
Got Em Biting His Swag Like Sharks,
When I Hit It Ima Knock It Out The Park"
... I didn't really need to hear about what it takes to get you hard! Don't worry though, non-dimes, at this point Mr. YC is so drunk off the Patron that 5's have had their value double! He clearly doesn't care about legal status, those hoes have their own special category. Can't you feel the love and respect for women just radiating from these genius lyrics?
Trap Beat So G*d D*mn Hard, Got Kush Got Lean Got Bar
That RE RE Hard To Scale, Got Bricks Dont Need No Scale
Im Plugged In With The Mail, Im Part Of The Cartel
That ReRock Aint No Clean, 62 Hundred For A Neen
Said Fuck It All Up On Jeans, Ima True Religion Fiend
Got Bands In The Pockets Of My Jeans, Need A Kickstand Way I Lean
Promethazine Fiend, Styrofoam, Sprite And Lean
Wow, this is up for a "most drug references in a verse" award! He's no Young Jeezy, but he's approaching those levels here.
No Choice Boy I Forced Out Sports, To Go And Cop Sum Ice
Designer On My Mojo, I Live In The Spotlight
Real Street N*gga Aint No Flaw, Yung Future Gotta Keep Dat Raw
My Swag I Gave To You Ni*ggas, Ima Need Me A Round Of Applause
Bravo (Bravo) Bravo (Bravo) Bravo/ BRAVO BRAVO
A little backstory from featured guest Future shows that he was into sports, but upon being forced out he turned to the drug game. For a rapper no one had heard of, he sure is full of himself. Is swagger a synonym for monomaniacal levels of self confidence?
Gotta 100,000 Dollars Worth Of Clothes, Im Froze (Im Froze) Im Cold
100k worth of clothes? That's bad money management man! You'll never be able to wear all of that mess before it goes out of style. Also, since when to gangsters brag about their wardrobes?
I Keep Me A Big Bank Roll, I Aint Tricking Off On These H*es
These H*es Bringing Me They Soul, I Wil Never Sell My Soul
Someone PLEASE tell this man for future reference (see what I did there?) not to use h*es in back to back lines. Sloppy, sloppy songwriting.
How exactly does a h*e offer up their soul anyway?
I believe he hasn't sold his soul though. According to legend, those who sell their souls to the devil do so in exchange for talent. This guy doesn't have any of that!
Cash Out On All These Cars, These Foreign (Foreign) Broads
Gotta N*gga Living In The Stars, Im On My Way To Mars
Got Keyshia, Pam And Nicki, They All Wanna Minaj
A.1., Free Band, Free Vans, We Aint Never Gotta G*d D*mn Flarge
Threesome reference! I gotta create a sidebar with a running total of threesome mentions.
Gotta Know I Keep Dem Racks, I Stay Counting Them Stacks
Dem Girls Want Leave Me Lone, One F*ck Now She Attaaaatched
I doubt your sexual prowess is great enough to inspire attachment after one rendezvous, especially with the amount of drugs and alcohol you consume? Perhaps the braggadocio is covering up a little problem?
Flow Hot Don't Need No Match, Sell Work Don't Pay No Tax
Im Turned Up To The Maxx, Don't Even Know How To Relaaaax
You know, with rappers like Nas and Ja Rule getting popped for not paying their taxes, I don't know if I'd brag about untaxed income, even if it's from illegal operations.
I Drink So Much Damn Lean, Had To Wake Up On A Bean
Got Racks Off In My Jeans, Man Busting Out The Sceeeene
Got Kush All In My Lungs, Get High Like Cheech & Chong
Eight-Hundred A Zone, Ain't Blowing It Less It's Strooong
I believe he does have a lot of kush in his lungs, as he seems to have forgotten, in the course of one song that he already covered the above territory!
She Hate On My iPhone, Catch Mine And Then Im Gone
This Girl Want Leave Me Lone, I Can Not Take Her Hoooome
Im Gone Off Them Bars, B*tch Im Not A Star
Im Driving Foreign Cars, Strapped Up No Bodyguuaaaard
Yadda, yadda, take some random lines that rhyme and finish padding out your verse.
Thankfully this doesn't seem to be burning up the Billboard charts, but I hear it nearly every day here in Atlanta. It's not catchy, it has a crappy beat... it's not popular for the reasons that bad songs usually are. Please, if you hear this on the radio, switch stations immediately and don't change back till you're sure it's over!
(I apologize for any lyrical problems. I'm going off what I find online.)

You can make the second line happen pretty easily, huh? 8-o
ReplyDeleteSo thiiiiiis is what these guys have been quoting in their statuses and yelling out all over the place. How...ridiculous. I can barely understand him, let alone enjoy these lyrics. (Spppft!)
Hes saying he has a "campaign" going so strong. a drug campaign. He is a very succesful drug dealer in the atlanta area and thats is how he is so rich. He is a big time drug dealer. Thats how he has all of his money. Trust me he has enough True Religion an jewelry to prove it. Young Chris is not a joke
ReplyDeleteAh, I was wondering about that lyric. It's a bit difficult to understand and I just went with what I found lyrics wise online.
ReplyDeleteDo you have links to other info about Young Chris?
If he's a legit drug dealer, I honestly hope he gets busted. Less people distributing that mess makes for a safer Atlanta.
Your lyrics are definitely wrong. It's not champagne it's campaign u idiot. While you hating him and Future making money off this song.
ReplyDeleteBased on the 2 of you, I've updated the lyrics. They're difficult to make out.
ReplyDeleteWhy am I hating YC and Future making money off this song?
Because life isn't all about making money. Especially not when you're current money-making idea is to talk about how much money you have from selling drugs. Wether or not he is really a drug dealer or a total phony like Rick Ross, there are people who hear songs like this and it reinforces their decisions to get into the drug game.
I've been in nasty parts of Atlanta with a ministry that handed out clothes and food to the homeless. So many of these people buy the drugs this man sells. Drugs can wreck lives of takers. They also tend to lead the dealers to jail or an early grave.
I like rap music. I just like quality rap. Definitely not this raggedy mess of a song with a whack beat and sorry lyrics.
quite literally the worst song i've ever heard... this is why rap is going downhill fast
ReplyDeleteWho is the FOOL that made this????? I dont know why peopel stay and just be hating off some one doing big things. This songg is off the chain and not even ur hating ass can stop it's shine. See how lame u are, u had time to comment on every line. Get ur game up, cos while u be hating yc WILL BE GETTING RACKS ON RACKS ON RACKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.
ReplyDeleteFuck thiis hatting ass @todaysbadsong. Broke ass go get ur racks up
ReplyDeleteclearly the ones who disagree have absolutely no taste in good music ... kill yourself... This song is garbage ... true story
ReplyDeleteHe needs to open up the space between his hair line and his eye brows. Cant even lipsynch the lyric to his own song in his video. Along with the auto tune the beat is catchy BUT the lyrics are just ......a bunch of lyric thrown toghether. Smart people who got "racks on racks" also have roth IRA's and Stocks and Bonds too.
ReplyDeleteMane there are alot of hating ass broke and lame people out there. All the fucks stay here trying to run a brother down, but for a fact we all can accept the fact that he doing something with his time off this. Let me ask all this haters here what ya doing with ur time?? Let me answer that NOTHING. You hateing fucks stay writing shit about dude and his song while he getting paper and fame. Ya need to step ur game up. The fuck that said something about taste in music fucker if u dont know this song is meARNT To huype u up to get in a good mood and not a song that should uplift ur meantal mind. Not like u got something better to say than him
ReplyDeleteWhy do you automatically assume that people who dislike this song are broke? Ah, to be young and able to sling about nonsensical insults whenever you choose.
ReplyDeleteNo one stays here trying to "keep a brother down." People stop by, do a bit of reading and chime in with their opinions.
I'm sure most of the commentators have jobs that occupy most of their time.
YC is achieving some success with this song, but money and fame are fickle. He'll probably have the shelf life of most rap artists. One big hit and then he'll be gone.
If this songs hypes you up and puts you in a good mood, that's great. I'm not here to convince anyone, I'm just sharing my opinions. I just think think it's possible to have a song hype you up and be original. If YC is talented, I want to hear it. If he's going to sling the same old money, drugs and hoes rap then he's a blight on the charts.
I think you need to uplift your "meantal mind" homie. They have spelling and grammar checking on computers. Might want to look into that.
What's the shitty site about??? Looks like a set of hating ass people who just broke and mad. I dont think any one who has something postive going for him or her will have time to make this in the first place. I can bet YC yunger than all this fools here, he's 19.
ReplyDeleteif u aint got racks on racks on racks u gonna hate hate hate. Dumbs site fuck outta here
ReplyDeleteRacks on Racks on Racks be my shit, why these fools mad? Keep hating my nigga number one on bet and 4 on billboard.
ReplyDeleteThey hating cos they ain't got a car lot or a car they aint got to park or a car with no keys push button start.
ReplyDeleteman the beat to dat song hard as fuck wat u talkin bout lame beat u crazy sonny digital dat nigga on da boards dis dude jus cant keep his opinion to himself so now i cant either jus cuz u dont like da song dont mean other people dont kill yaself
ReplyDelete"jus cuz u dont like da song dont mean other people dont kill yaself"
ReplyDeleteAllow me to translate this comment.
"Just because you don't like the song doesn't mean that other people don't. Please end your life."
Dude, you're free to express your opinion of the song. If you like it and think the beat is bangin', that's cool. I just wonder why I'm supposed to kill myself for having a differing opinion.

ReplyDeletethis song is wack as fuck, im a west coast dude and im down with that 90s G-Funk shit. thats real rap. im also down wit some of the newer southern rap but this fool Yc is wack for real. jeezy, ross, wayne, three 6,are sick wit it but this fool is straight wack. auto-tune? cmon man if your hit song is completely auto-tune then that goes to show for your skill. lyrics are horrible and repetitive. the beat really isnt that bad tho. and YC aint no big time drug dealer you guys arent foolin no one. get off his nuts and stop makin up some bullshit that we all know isnt true. and no im not no broke hater, im 21 years old with a career making close $75,000+ a year legitly adn i come from the streets. sold bud, coke, heroin but i put that shit down and got my education and look at where im at now. so dont go there with the "ur a broke ass hatin nigga" cuz im far from it. plain and simple this fool YC is wack and if you took the top 20-30 artist from around the country then i bet the majority of them would say the same thing and would refuse to work with this clown. you want some real music then throw on some Westside connection, DPGC, daz&kurupt, Pac, Spice 1, Ice cube, Snoop. thats reals rap and not no auto-tuned shit wit BS lyrics from a kid that hasnt touched $100,000 cash in his life.
ReplyDelete"im 21 years old with a career making close $75,000+ a year". So what the fuck u doing on here fool? Auto tune or not YC Racks song is a hit. I'm down with the 90's as well but come on we in 2011 times did change. Now I know u is a hater no bullshit but YC makes more cash than u. If YC is so wack as fuck why u paying attention to him or the song. And if u got something better than his where the hit at fool?
ReplyDeletecant belive this fool is still running this blog
ReplyDeleteFuture been gettin money since the 90's while writing for the dungeon family and luda. He could have been had a album but chose not too.
ReplyDeleteYC & Future = two street niggas from the A that are bout they money(this is a fact not speculation)
ReplyDeleteFuture = Hottest(not best) artist in the game right now
YC = wack rapper/street nigga that Future wrote the song for
Racks on Racks= hottest club banger of the year thus far
This = The end of story
wow, if every one who hates is broke, then all you ghetto ass hood rant fan boys and girls are groupies get off this wack ass song. the only good thing is the beat, and if he so damn good why he gatta tell us about himself i dont give a fuck about no dumb fucks money cars and hoes this is a profitable paradox he raps about money and possesions that he only has becuase of this wack ass song cuz he not a fucking G or drug dealer and if you have the time to seaerch out this site just to reply to "haters" you are A. a troll from 4chan.org's /B/ board B. more pathetic and a waste of time then the comments you so hate.
ReplyDeletei Know Future Personally He's Family Member His Dad And Grandad Were Kingpins, he Had Money before he Started Rapping He Had A Million Back In 06, YC Is Not What He Say Yung Mazi Taught Him How To Get Money, I Know All These Folks The Things Future Speak Is True
ReplyDeleteLove the article...
ReplyDeleteFuture started hiss verse: no choice, I was forced by force, to go n cop som ice
lol all i gotta say, anyone who puts the time in to write some bullshit commentary about someone else getting money, is jealous. simple as that, get your bread up homie. this song is so lame but it got 11 million hits on youtube..riiight.so lame that everyone on twitter, facebook, and every other major networking website knows exactly what it means when you say, "racks on racks on raaaacks" quit with the hate and get your swag up you lame fucks
ReplyDeleteI'm not commenting on someone else getting money. I'm commenting on a song. Have you ever heard of criticism? Have you ever looked at a movie or video game review? Critics express opinions, and mine is that this is an awful song. More power to YC and Future. If they can get paid making substandard BS music, that's great. Clearly there's an audience for it.
ReplyDeleteAs an aside, youtube hits can be falsified. Look at Kreayshawn. The official story is that she was some no-name artist who got a million youtube hits and turned that into a multi-million dollar deal with Sony.
If you can use some objectivity, it's clear Sony signed her and used a firm whose purpose is to get youtube clicks. The used those decent numbers to get people to take notice. If something has a thousand views on youtube, people don't waste their time. If something already has 300,000 views, folks will give it their time.
Sony bought buzz to feed viral views. Once the million view mark is hit, they announce they've signed her, and weeks later she's at the MTV VMA's. Based on "Gucci Gucci"? That song is worse than "Racks"!
Ok, so now he falsified his youtube views. 'what a conspiracy'. No hating on the blog maker or future, im nuetral on the matter. But get real dawg, this just isnt your type of music if you dont like it. Why hate on a genre you dont prefer? I think its just the extent to which the radio plays him and the way people worship him that your mad at. Thats whats hot nowadays and even though its hard to accept, you must. But analyzing and wishing his demise is a bit much. Like they say, dont hate the player hate the game. Spoken from someone who loved the wu tang but hates jay z
ReplyDeleteI'm saying that overnight success can be falsified in this day and age.
ReplyDeleteA genre I don't prefer? I love rap music. I just feel there's been a decline in the accepted quality in popular rap music. I don't think Future or YC would have gotten popular 10 years ago. I suppose they could be one hit wonders like Soulja Boy, but the huge popularity is disconcerting to me.
I guess I do hate the game if it allows players like this to hit it big. Do I wish these dudes demise? No. If they're talented, I want to see it. This song isn't impressive. It's similar to how people tell me Nicki Minaj is a talented rapper. I can't think of an impressive verse from her that I've heard. Everything is weird and uses goofy voices. Meh. She might be great, but I need proof.
I can understand the part about falsification, but we can tend to be biased against artist because they are telling their particular market what they want to hear. The fact is, when I say different genre, i mean that rap has divided genres in between itself, based on the mental programming of the consumer. In some cases it might as well be like trying to listen to foreign music if its not your particular style. Where one sees value in lyrics, another may overlook that for conviction and beleivability, swagger, or vice versa.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, that means that if you want to blow up out of atlanta, and your a rapper, u have a hell of a better chance dumbing down your lyrics over melodic, deep base loops, and a little auto tune and drug talk wont hurt. Its a formula that is constantly
changing and many try to emulate, to get a piece of the pie.
Its at times a difficult thing to stomach, but recognizing the fact that as far as entertaining is concerned, the majority brain waves of the particular region is what determines a musical hit, not entirely because of ignorance, but because of the radio stations. If ya ask me they are a major instrument in keeping us counterproductive and dumb, but hell, you didnt. Just recognize this though, an 'artist's' material doesnt neccessarily measure his or her talent, especially when your fanbase is nothing short of living zombies, or sheep in the process of bieng herded, for their 'trimmings.' But contributing to it i for monetary gain is a question of morality, not talent or intelligence. O yeah and as for nicki minaj, since a majority of her fans I would say have the mind of a thirteen year old girl, and sadly, a majority of our black women have the same, she is successful, and is bieng reveered as a 'great artist'. She knows exactly who to appeal to to get paid. I cant hate, but I cant applaud it either. In this world it seems we are every black man/women for themselves. and whos to blame us? With such a starved sense of identity, outer and self suppression, and our tribal instincts we easily are lured into trends and lifestyles of mindlessness...... As long as Everyone else around us likes it...... And it gotta tight beat! yea it sucks, but try to filter the beauty to help redirect it into your own craft. Thats what I do.
Oh and by the way, im an artist myself, but I know my chances of bieng heard and marketable are slim to none. Reason? Not only because of the saturation of the market, but because I cant bring myself to revert to my old ways of strictly ignorance in music, and for if u got something pertinent to say nowadays, people just aint tryna hear dat shit! Not to mention the radio folks like the dirty boys, frank and wanda, and their superiors, can give two shits and aint tryna truly go against the grain. The system will pay you to keep your race ignorant! Lately ive found that alot the white rock groups got more soul and talent then our 'major' rap artists!
ReplyDeleteWow u actually had time to break this song down line by line. You can't have nothing better to do with your life.Yc probley has more money in his pocket at this very moment then you do in your bank account.Let's not even start on how much money future has.So while your busy hating aand writing a blog, you need to be finding a way to get your check right and stop hating. So what if the song doesn't have the most top notch lyrics. What song now-a-days does? This song used to go ham in the clubs and they both making money off of it.They did something to better themselves and you want to hate?Lame ass nigga
ReplyDeleteAnd P.S:I've known Y.C since we were both 16.He is a drug dealer and gets hella money that way
ReplyDeleteThe song is absolutly assess on asssss on asssss. And i never knew having an opinion was considered hate. Well I guess I hate Wayne cuz he's the worst rapper alive right now. 2 Chainz sucks. Future has no future in music. And if they gettin money of drugs, why do music? Everybody knows there's no money in rap like it use to be. And Future writing for Luda is a motherfucking joke. And if this song motivates you or puts you in a good mood, your just as ignorant as the mofo who recorded it
ReplyDeleteAssuming you're telling the truth about knowing the dude, congrats for associating with a low-life piece of trash who poisons the community!
ReplyDeleteI can say I know "celebrities" too, being anonymous on the internet.
Anyways, has YC done anything that's had any buzz since this song? One hit wonder!
this shit funny as hell yall crazy and all the lyrics wrong well not all lmao!
ReplyDeleteThey made more money off this one song that you'll ever make off this web site! Stop being a hate-blogger. I been knowing YC and Future half of my life! Niggas out here in LIL' MEXICO CITY making more money than your own United States President! East Atlanta... Zone 6.... Kirkwood hold weight!!! FREEBANDZ BLACK AMIGO GANG!!!!
ReplyDeleteTodays BAd song? QUestion-
ReplyDeleteIS there any Music from ATL that has came out in the last 8 years that catches your attention? I dont mean Lyrics that you feel(because you are looking for a certain content obviously) but simply catchy Tunes, beats and Hooks that hold your ear throughout the day you find yourself humming? I totally Feel your perspective on the loss of attention or respect to the song for its content. I have came to the conclusion when listening to rap these days that I no longer expect "purpose". Im just trying to assess if you dislike all of the southern ATL music or is this songs "racks" a simple personal dislike.
*Is swagger a synonym for monomaniacal levels of self confidence? LOL very Funny..I had to read on.
THis Blogg was very good read for a slow day at work..thanks
